Kherming Cantations - Chapter 4Being lost in a foreign world was always a fear of Sara's. Perhaps it was because of her past, losing her family and spending so much time in strange places with no one to turn to. It probably wasn't a smart thing to believe the woman's story without question. Even Michael had warned her that Ria might be mentally-ill. But there was something about the druid’s eyes that spoke the truth. Perhaps things would have been different had Sara not had her own dealings with the supernatural. When she was younger, she might have been skeptical. As it was now, she was open to accept the impossible as possible.
Despite Sara's fears, Ria settled-in quickly. She was a strong personality and liked to take charge; she was reluctant to take orders, but still sought to please. The druid asked that she be given three hours every day in private, so she could work on her magic. Other than that, the woman did not like being idle. My second entry for the March EMTC. Theme: Superstitions [link] Even though this piece is family-friendly, since it's vampire themed and I tend to do my vampire stuff on this account, I thought it appropriate to upload it here.

That poor vampire is hungry. But is seems our smart emote has filled his room with a variety of things to ward off blood-suckers.

Obviously, this piece covers the superstitions about vampires. List of things that will supposedly protect you:

1. A ring of garlic hanging on the wall.
2. A barking dog (obvious the dog is sleeping, but should the vampire enter...)
3. Salt shaker on the nightstand
4. Roses on the nightstand
5. A rosary (prayer beads) hanging on the bed
6. Cross above bed
7. A bucket of holy water
8. Beans scattered on the floor.
9. Though not on the official anti-vampire list, keeping the light on while you sleep to keep the monsters away.

I should note, the beans are not there to ward off the vampire, but supposedly the vampire will become so obsessive in counting them, you can have enough time to run away.

Some art notes, the room is horribly mis-matched decor wide, with green covers, blue curtains, and pink wall. I thought to change it, but frankly I thought it was more realistic. I have a pretty mish-mash bedroom myself style-wise.
