   Sara stared at the paperwork. She'd completed the therapy referral forms a thousand times before, but today she couldn't to make heads or tails of them.    The customer shifted his weight from one foot to the other. "Aw, man... I really want a bit more than that."

It was nearing 10 o'clock when Dark Flame made it to the office building. It was situated in one of the smaller neighborhoods a few miles from the main downtown area. Martin Bling liked to keep up the appearance that his sole base of operations was Bling City itself. When visiting different cities, he would conduct business in the office spaces of fellow partners and investors to keep up the facade.    The Black Torrent ran. He pushed his body forward, relishing the air hitting his face as his feet pounded against the pavement. Adrenaline was pulsing through his veins, giving him a high as he made his way along the waterfront. His speed slowed a bit, his body showing the first signs of fatigue.    "Mr. Bruce, Ravenswood is here to see you."

   Michael looked up from his computer, clicking off his email. "Thank you, Grace. Send him in."

   Since starting to work with Melody at Stan's Coffee House, Ravenswood only came into the office twice a week. As head of Chief Security Office, those days were packed with background checks, telephone calls, vulnerability tests, and every other sort of thing to keep the company safe. Michael was far more likely to see the man in the hallways of Crystal Towers or on the rooftops of Gale than he was at the office.

   Melody Krol turned to pass the customer's order on to Jeff, one of the other workers at the coffee shop. He waved his hand, still working on a previous order. She turned the other way to look for Janine, but she was mopping up a spill. Melody apologized to the customer for the delay and began making the order herself.

   Stan's Coffee House was a small shop with a small staff and that made it difficult to handle busy days. As Melody prepared the double espresso, she grumbled, wondering for the thirtieth time where Ravenswood was. He was supposed to be working that morning, but never showed up
